On 10 October 2025, the IMPULSA 10 Centre in Pozoblanco became a meeting point for farmers, researchers, and institutions with a common objective: to share the results of the I-CISK Project and connect with other initiatives in the area to move towards the sustainability of the agricultural, livestock and forestry sector in Los Pedroches.

The Mayor of Pozoblanco, Mr Santiago Cabello, opened the first part of the session. In this first part, the results of the I-CISK project were presented. The joint work with the members of the Living Lab has made it possible to complement the development of the two original climate services of the project proposal, climate predictions and projections, with specific information needs of the region: historical climate data, agro-climatic indicators and estimates of olive production and the hydrogeological characterisation of the Los Pedroches aquifer.
After the coffee break, the second part of the day began, aimed at presenting different projects and initiatives that are being carried out in the region. Aleix Antonell began the first round of presentations with the presentation of the Monalisa Project on the monitoring and evaluation of solutions for the prevention of desertification. He was followed by Rafa Pimentel to present the DRYAD Project on nature-based solutions to increase resilience in agrosilvopastoral landscapes. To conclude, Pedro Antonio Tíscar spoke about the integration of climate risks in the management of the mountains of the Sierra de Cazorla.
In the second part, María Dolores Carbonero spoke about the adaptation of extensive livestock farming to climatic conditions and Mari Pat González about the ScaleAgData project on pasture production under variable climatic conditions. In addition, José Manuel Muñoz presented the progress of research into new varieties of cereals adapted to Los Pedroches climate.
To close the day, we had the pleasure of having Manuela Hernández and Annelies Broekman with the final reflections and conclusions. They were also in charge of giving the news of the project’s commitment with CICAP to advance in the transfer of climate services to this organisation. Currently, the services are hosted on the project’s server until 6 months from now. However, we will continue to work to make them available to the people of the region with the collaboration of CICAP.
With this event, the Living Lab met for the last time since its formation. Thanks for having made these 4 years a unique experience to all the members of the multiactor platform: OLIPE, COVAP, CICAP, IFAPA, Adroches, Natural Park of Cardeña and Montoro, Forestry Experimentation Centre of Cazorla, Andalusian Hunting Federation, and Hydrographic Confederations of the Guadiana and Guadalquivir rivers. We hope to have opened new paths to continue growing and researching towards sustainability.
