New Videos Showcase Human-Centred Climate Services Across Europe and Africa

The EU-funded I-CISK project is proud to announce the release of four new mini-documentary videos capturing the stories, innovations, and people behind its Living Labs in Lesotho, Georgia, Spain, and Hungary.

Each short film brings to life how scientists, local communities, and decision-makers have worked together to co-create the next generation of human-centred climate services — tools that make climate information more usable, actionable, and impactful.

From drought monitoring in Southern Africa to sustainable agriculture in Georgia’s Kakheti region, from balancing water and ecosystem needs in Spain to enhancing local climate knowledge in Hungary, these videos highlight the diversity of challenges and solutions shaped within the I-CISK Living Labs.

By combining scientific data with local and traditional knowledge, the videos demonstrate that climate services are most effective when co-designed with the people who use them. They showcase real experiences of collaboration, learning, and innovation — illustrating how participatory approaches can strengthen resilience, empower local communities, and inform better decision-making for a changing climate.

The four videos were produced by Iliadas Films in collaboration with project partners, featuring voices from communities, researchers, and practitioners engaged throughout the co-creation process.
